Sporting Successes Celebrated at Inaugural PE Awards Evening

On Thursday 28th June Cressex Community School held its inaugural PE and Sports Awards Evening. It was an opportunity for the PE department to celebrate the successes of the year, and to reward those pupils who demonstrated exceptional behaviour, attitude, effort and commitment throughout the academic year.

The evening opened with a speech from Mr Hood, followed by the presentation of the PE awards by Mr Gorley.  Awards were handed out to pupils who had excelled in their PE lessons during the year, with one male and one female winner per year group. The audience were then treated to two guest speeches, one from Alan Lane from the Rugby Football Union and the other from Mark Stokes from LEAP, the Bucks and MK Sports and Activity Partnership. Both were inspirational and held the attention of everyone present. The evening then moved on to the announcement of the Sport Award winners who were each chosen as the best performer across the whole range of sports at which Cressex competes locally.

The night concluded with the announcement of winners of the prestigious Victor Ludorum and Victrix Ludorum awards. The PE department are incredibly proud to say that the recipients for 2018 were:

Victor Ludorum - Jake Rahim

Victrix Ludorum - Estella Miles

Cressex PE department would like to thank all pupils and parents who attended the evening, and would like to congratulate all the well-deserved winners.
