Our Learning Environment

The original Cressex Community School opened in 1960. In September 2010, the school was very fortunate to move into a brand new state-of-the-art building and now present generations of Cressex students benefit from:

  • large, bright and welcoming classrooms;
  • excellent IT facilities, which support learning in all subjects;
  • well-designed spaces such as the library, assembly hall, sports hall, sixth form common room and atrium that promote a great sense of community;
  • a pleasant and stimulating outdoor environment, which Cressex students themselves helped to design, including dedicated areas for growing fruit and vegetables and an amphitheatre for outdoor performances.
