Cressex students help to change lives as part of Operation Christmas Child
A big part of Christmas is the giving of gifts. An organisation that understands the power of giving is Samaritan’s Purse International Relief which, each year, runs Operation Christmas Child. This campaign’s single objective is to distribute as many shoeboxes filled with goodies as it can to children in need all around the world. Cressex Community School has chosen Operation Christmas Child as this year’s Christmas fundraising appeal and it has to be said that the students and their families have responded wonderfully – 71 shoeboxes stuffed to overflowing and £265.55!
The shoeboxes will be collected by OCC and distributed to children living in refugee camps and others facing real hardship.
As OCC says, “what goes into the box is fun, what comes out is eternal.”
