New information for the issuing of GCSE results for Year 11 Students, Parents and Carers

*** WE HAVE CHANGED OUR PLANS FOR ISSUING GCSE RESULTS ***

STUDENTS NOW COME TO SCHOOL TO PICK UP RESULTS ON 20th AUGUST

Dear Year 11 Students,

As you know, GCSE results are due to be published this week, on Thursday 20th August.

As you probably also know, there has been a lot of confusion about the way grades are to be awarded. Thankfully the Government has now decided on a process that looks as though it will be fairer to all students.

However, because of all the confusion, we are now asking students to come into school to collect their exam results during the morning of Thursday 20th August.  This will enable us to speak to students directly to support and guide them as quickly as possible, should it be necessary,

Students must arrive during a specified time slot based on the initial of their surname – see below. Students must line up in an orderly manner outside the school reception and enter the school building via reception, one student at a time.   Once they have collected their results students will be required to leave the school building immediately, unless they need to have an urgent guidance conversation with a senior member of staff.  Students should avoid congregating outside once they have collected their results.  Parents/Carers will not be allowed to enter the school building and the school will not be able to issue results to any family members.

Please arrive during the specified time slot.  We will not be able to issue results to students arriving early ahead of time.  Students arriving late will need to wait for a gap.
