29 JuneGeography Field Trip: Orielton Field Studies, Year 10, INVITE ONLY (Full)29 JuneYear 10 Parents' Evening30 JuneYear 11 Leavers' Ceremony and Prom (Class of 2016/2017)The Prom will follow the Leavers’ Ceremony on the 30th June and will finish at 10pm which will be the perfect opportunity to celebrate everyone’s time at Cressex.  Your child will have received an invitation to the Leavers Event along with this letter. There have been a number of fund raisers over the last year, including; food stalls and paying to wear ‘business attire’ on Careers Day, but this will not suffice. Therefore, we are kindly asking for everyone that wishes to attend to make a final donation of £5 that will go towards catering, decorations and a DJ.  Please can I request that you return your donation by Friday 26th May.  Parents unable or unwilling to contribute will not be discriminated against but if insufficient contributions are received then the Prom may have to be cancelled. 19:30 - 22:00 06 JulyYear 10 Geography Field Trip, Lulworth Cove. INVITATION ONLYThis is a non-residential field trip enabling students to enhance their knowledge of tourism and coasts by experiencing the landscape first hand and it will take place on Thursday 6th July 2017. This is an excellent opportunity to help their revision for GCSE Geography. We will leave school in the school minibus at 8.15a.m and be returning to school by approximately 5.15pm. The students will need a small amount of money for activities on the day. We would recommend that no valuable items are taken on the trip, as unfortunately, staff cannot take responsibility for any items that become lost or are stolen from the students. We expect all students to represent the school positively and behave according to the school rules. School uniform will not be required but suitable outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather conditions of the day. 08:15 - 17:15 12 JulyYear 10 Wycombe High Taking Maths Further Event. INVITATION ONLYThe trip will be run for those pupils who have a good attendance, positive attitude to learning and exceptional behaviour.  Coursework will also need to be up to date. Students have been selected due to the excellence that they have shown in Mathematics and are keen to study it at A-Level. I will be leading the trip and will be leaving school at 8.55am with another member of staff, walking to Wycombe High School. The event is expected to finish at 3.15pm and students will need to be collected from the school or be given permission to make their way home independently. We would recommend that no valuable items are taken on the trip, as unfortunately, staff cannot take responsibility for any items that become lost or are stolen from the students. Students will need to bring a packed lunch. We expect all students to represent the school positively. Your son / daughter will need to wear full school uniform with trainers. 08:55 - 15:15 13 JulyYear 7 Science trip to Whipsnade ZooThis is an exciting opportunity for your child to extend their learning of the KS3 science curriculum.  Pupils will be given the opportunity to explore the zoo and gain a deeper insight into habitats, ecosystems and adaptations. The trip will be run for those pupils who have good attendance, a positive attitude to learning and exceptional behaviour.  We will leave school at 9:00am and will be returning to school by 5:00pm depending on traffic. We would recommend that no valuable items are taken on the trip, as unfortunately, staff cannot take responsibility for any items that become lost or are stolen from the students. Pupils must bring along a packed lunch. We expect all students to represent the school positively. Your son / daughter will need to wear full school uniform. 09:00 - 17:00
