Important Message for the Start of Autumn Term 2021 from David Hood, Headteacher
We are very much looking forward to having the students back with us next week following our two COVID testing days on Friday 3 Sept and Monday 6 Sept.
Please see below for some important reminders and information.
1) Start Dates
The sequence in which students are returning (Sixth Form students should already be aware of their arrangements – contact the school if not):
Tuesday 7 Sept: Year 7 and Year 11
Year 7s will be welcomed at the front of the school and shown to the main hall for the start of their day.
Year 11s should enter by the Y11 door. They should also read the email sent by Mr Taylor earlier today.
Wednesday 8 Sept: Year 7, Year 8, Year 10 and Year 11
All students should enter by their year group’s door.
Thursday 9 Sept: All year groups
All students should enter by their year group’s door
2) Key Dates
As a result of changes we have needed to make over the summer we have moved the dates of some of our training days from those published in student planners. The dates shown on the school website are accurate. Please do not rely on the student planners for dates of training days.
3) School Operations
As we start the new term we have updated our COVID-related operating procedures. The latest version is attached for your information.
4) Smart phones/mobile phones/smart watches
A reminder that students must not use any of the above in school or in the school grounds at any time. If they are seen or heard they will be confiscated and returned to parents/carers at an agreed time.
