Cressex students become opera performers with Garsington Opera Company

Ninety students from Cressex Community School became opera singers, dancers, musicians, set and stage designers during a two week project with the Garsington Opera Company in the run up to Christmas.

Children from years 7, 8 and 9 and those in KS4 studying for their BTEC Performing Arts worked with dance, voice, music and props specialists to create a spellbinding end of project performance inspired by Haydn’s Creation.

"We were delighted to be working with our friends from Garsington Opera once again. Their outstanding expertise brings the very best out of our students. The final performance was exciting and moving", said David Hood, Headteacher.
